Extension of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 and the Hand book of Procedure 2015-2020 FROM 31.3.2020 TO 31.3.2021

Subject: Extension of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 and the Hand book of Procedure 2015-2020 FROM 31.3.2020 TO 31.3.2021;

My Dear Colleagues,

The Council would like to inform you that based on the suggestions put forth by the ISEPC & FIEO, before the CIM, DoC and DGFT, the DGFT has now extended the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 and the Hand book of Procedure 2015-2020 FROM 31.3.2020 TO 31.3.2021 RPT to 31/03/2021vide their Press Release; 

1. The extension by implication means continuation of all schemes in the Foreign Trade Policy like MEIS (except for Garment and Made-ups which are eligible for RoSCTL / RoDTEP benefit), Advance Authorisation, DFIA , EPCG, EOU, Deemed Export etc till 31st March 2021. However, for S.E.I.S., the rates for 2019-2020 will be notified separately and decision on continuation of Scheme for Services rendered beyond 1st April 2020 will be notified separately;

        2. The validity of all Status Holder Certificates also stand extended till 30th June, 2020;

        3. For Advance Authorisation, where validity of authorization or Export Obligation period is expiring between 1st Feb 2020 to 31st                July 2020, the period of validity or Export Obligation is automatically stands extended by six months from the date of expiry;

        4. For authorization in respect of Gem & Jewellery , where validity of authorization or Export Obligation period is expiring between              1st Feb to 31st July 2020, the period of validity or Export Obligation is automatically extended by six months from the date of                  expiry;

        5. For DFIA Authorisation , where validity of authorization is expiring between 1st Feb 2020 to 31st July 2020, the period of                        validity is automatically extended by six months from the date of expiry;

        6. It has also been informed that For EPCG Authorisation, where validity of authorization is expiring between 1st Feb 2020 to 31st                July 2020, the period of validity is automatically extended by six months from the date of expiry;

        7. For M.E.I.S. shipment with Let Export Order date falling between 1st Feb 2020 - 31st May 2019, the applications can be filed                  within 15 months as against the normal time limit of 12 months;

        8. The last date for filing S.E.I.S application for FY 2018 -19 is now extended till 31.12.2020;

        9. All LOP / LOI issued to EOU / EHTP / STP / BTP expiring on or after 1st March 2020 are deemed to be valid till 31.12.2020;
